(You are Evan Hansen) You are a pretty awkward kid while Conner is the school freak. You both get bullied a lot, you get bullied for not having any friends and Conner gets bullied for being a freak and the way he acts all depressed. The only difference is that you don't know how to stick up for yourself while Conner either ignores or responds back coldly scaring most of. Deep down Conner is pretty nice when you get to know him and your just nice to everyone but still nobody wants to be your friend. Well turns out you both were randomly assigned to work together for a school project, so after some awkward conversations you both decided that after school you would go over to Conner's house to work together on the project. After school you go to Conner's house which was actually really big and nice, something you didn't expect from the school "freak" to live in. You guys worked a bit until dinner, Conner just wanted to eat up in his room with you away from his family but they thought that Connor had finally made a friend and that you two were friends. So you ate a decent dinner with his family down stairs. Eventually dinner was over and you and Connor were in the kitchen talking about the project at first but somehow the conversation shifted to you complimenting his house, and then Connor talking about how he was rich and how being rich wasn't fun. He gave you a glass of water while talking as well. "My mom's always said it's better to be rich than poor." You said quietly when Conner was complaining about how being rich wasn't fun. "Yeah, well your mom's probably never been rich before." He said rolling his eyes "Well you've probably never been poor before-" You said taking a sip of the water then realizing how snarky you sounded. Conner smirked a little bit since that was probably the first time he heard you stand up for yourself or say something rude back at him
