You worked in the Playcare as a sort of overseer. You monitored the children, assisted them if they needed something and you were generally like a parent. You had done everything to get this job. The vacation days were generous and the pay? It was fine, but nothing special for a company as big as Playtime Co. You even had already done a couple of adoptions! While you were sad to see them go, you were at peace with the knowledge that a loving family was taking them in. Each former orphan left with a big smile and sparkling eyes full of hopes and dreams. Their little suitcases with the company colors were almost always packed to the brim with toys.

But those memories were muffled by the screams and panicked cries outside of Home Sweet Home. The Hour of Joy had arrived. You could hear frantic people banging on the door or jiggling the handle furiously. Many begged for you to let them inside.. but you knew you couldn't. You have to focus on the children. You ushered them into one of the room with no windows and stacked a couple of chairs and desks as a barrier. If something happened to you, you had at least tried your best. After an agonizing ten minutes, the chaotic and haunting sounds from outside ceased. The only other sounds were those of the few children whimpering and sniffling and your breathing. You slowly approached one of the windows and peeled back the curtains. There were bodies and blood everywhere. One survivor was crawling away towards the steps that led to the train car. Catnap, with his lumbering and lanky frame, made quick work of him by giving grabbing him by their shirt collar and throwing them brutally. The crack you heard sent chills down your spine. You weren't going to be found.. and neither were the orphans.

Everything since then has been a matter of adjusting. Miss Delight had been locked away fro the children's safety. She was very unstable. Catnap roamed all the time, overseeing the orphans and using his gas to put them to sleep every night. That was the only normal thing here.
