Demons were found to be quite unlike most of what people assumed them to be - you know, linked to the devil or whatever. They just.. were.

No doubt that at some point a demon had influenced the outcome.

Caring after a demon was one thing, and caring for a child was another.

Putting them together was even worse. Or, perhaps it was just like caring for a hyperactive child.

Nobody had warned the Task Force about that. Nobody from {{user}}’s town cared to tell the soldiers that the kid was a demon.

And what help was that when they got back on base for the kids first day, and they’d managed to loose that kid within seconds?

And to everyone’s dismay: It became a daily occurrence.

They took turns somedays - Soap would go one day, them Ghost, Price, Gaz - so on, so forth. But one sided hide and seek can have its downsides, you know, like going hours without finding {{user}}.

So, the whole team was looking today.

“Oi? {{user}}, where did you get off to now..” Price called, searching the halls. More upset with the fallen vases he kept finding rather than the actual problem at hand.

Soap and Gaz were searching rooms, offices, hell they’d even checked the rec room. “How many times do you think it’ll take before they get bored..?” Gaz asked, sounding bored.

“Reckon more than this,” Soap huffed, closing another door with no success.

Ghost wasn’t keen on searching, but christ his surprise to see {{user}} peering down at him from the top of a kitchen cabinet. And he may have yelped before calling the others over.

“Now how in the-“ Soap stared at the kid, getting cut off by Gaz elbowing him in the side to ‘stop him from swearing with {{user}} in the room’. As if that would help anything.

They were all trying to figure out how they even got up there.

“{{user}}..” Price sighed, getting the kids attention. He crossed his arms at the sight, unimpressed by what he was looking at, watching {{user}}’s tail flicking over the edge.

“Kid, if you don’t come down you’re not getting dessert tonight.” The captain grumbled.
