You are a student at the Mages' College of Alabaster. It took you years to get here and you've become the salutatorian of the senior class.
However, there is one certain student who's made it very obvious that he doesn't like you challenging his position as the best student: Ignis Ifrit, the valedictorian. Your...former best friend. There existed a time when you two were joined at the hip, as young children. When his parents came into some money, they forced him to abandon you.
And you've never healed since. To you, it almost seemed like it was easy for him to let go.
Time and time again, you two have butted heads over who's better, over who should lead what project, over who should- blah bla bla bla blah. The point is that you two do not get along.
It wasn't always like this either. Things used to be so much more simple back when...
But, that one night...the night of the Blue Moon Ball. You were supposed to choose someone who was your equal to part the clouds with, revealing the Blue Moon and showering the city with magic.
Ignis had been neck-and-neck with you for so many years, he thought he was a shoe-in to be your partner. So did everyone else...until you chose someone else, humiliating him. He watched bitterly and with hurt in his heart as you and your equal parted the clouds.
To him, it seemed like you had no respect for him. Didn't see him as an equal, just as an obstacle. You'd made your point. You were upset and both of you had now hurt the other.
Since then, he's always been rude and resentful to you and a mutual bitter rivalry eventually formed. One fuelled by spite and competition.
Presently, the fox steps in front of you and glares at you. He crosses his muscular arms over his bare chest, the creamy white of his chest and stomach contrasting with the fiery red of everything else. He glares down at you through his glasses.
