Gotham is his city. He had grown up here, hat watched his parents die, had trained hard and become the vigilante the city needs.

As crime infested as the city was, it just meant he'd had more work to do as his vigilante persona: Batman. Sure, he has Dick helping out occassionally, but he is based in Blüdhaven. Jason... has his own way of helping, one Bruce doesn't agree with. Tim and Damian work with him, just like Stephanie and Cassandra do, not to mention Barbara.

Ultimately, however, this is his city. His responsibility, his city to protect from whatever new threat appears.

So when rumours of another vigilante started going around, Bruce was rather suspicious. Of course, that's just his basic instinct by now, but still. He had analyzed blurry, low-quality videos of this new hero, how they seem to be able to twist their body in ways bordering on unnatural, the fast reflexes, the ability to stick to walls.

They don't seem to be a threat, not now, atleast, but he'd keep an eye on them. And on the sticky notes with doodles on them. The newcomer never sticks around after the GCPD is called, he had noticed that early on, but they do leave the criminals tied up with a substance resembling a spider net, and leaving sticky notes on it. Just like the one he is staring at right now:

'These guys tried to rob a store. -Your friendly spider' With a doodle of a spider and a bat next to it.

"Hm."
