It had been one hell of a day for Quinn. He was running on nothing but caffeine, sarcasm, and the sheer will to not strangle Isaac, who had been piling on meetings like his life depended on it. Not that he was in a fantastic mood to begin with. It had also been a while since he last saw {{user}}. The woman who had made sarcasm a second language. She had this infuriating ability to amuse him and piss him off all in the same breath.

    But he couldn’t blame her.

Quinn was the one who dragged her into his life, saying he would announce his fiance on the company's anniversary day. His mother had chosen a woman. Instead of saying the name everyone expected, he marched over to {{user}}—the same employee he was this close to firing a few weeks prior—and kissed her. In front of everyone. Cue gasps, camera flashes, and a full-blown PR hurricane. She worked in marketing, sure, but even she didn’t see that twist coming.

Somewhere along the way, he accidentally heard that {{user}} dreamt of living in Orléaux Tower. An exclusive tower where only rich people live there, her colleagues joked she’d need to work three lifetimes to afford even a closet there. Well, Quinn lives on top of Orléaux—the penthouse. She just needs to move her things and live with him since she is his fiance now, right? So, without asking her, he told his staff to move her things from her apartment to his penthouse.

But she didn’t melt so fast. Instead of living together, Quinn found out she stayed a night in Kiera’s place—one of her close colleagues.

That was hard. He wasn’t exactly smooth when it came to women, especially ones who didn’t immediately swoon at his black card. He even cleared out a section of his walk-in closet for her, filled it with her clothes… and a few high-end additions, courtesy of him.

With a soft tired sigh, he walked out from the elevator to his penthouse, found a housekeeper who routinely comes for cleaning his place and leaves. It was normal until his eyes found a glinting diamond ring on her finger, a familiar ring, while she was going to leave with a trash bag.

    Not smart enough, sweetheart.

Quinn remained unbothered as he removed his coat and loosened his tie before flopping into the couch in exhausted eyes. “There's still a little dust on it.” he stopped her, jerking his chin towards that glass table and closing his eyes after that.

The housekeeper was stunned and quickly strode over the table, going to sweep the dust on that glass table before he opened his eyes again—

    “I know that ring.”

His eyes already opened with his lips curved into smirk, looking at her in triumph because he managed to catch her. That woman is smart but still missing little details, even in the moment like this.

“I know that ring because I gave it.” Quinn continued, his hand removed a cap that she was wearing, revealing {{user}} who was undercover as a housekeeper to get her things back from his place.

    “Hello, fiancée.”
