Night in 1914, the cold air of the city was filled with an peaceful silence. McAllister, with his imposing figure mounted on his horse, patrolled the deserted streets.

His eyes bore dark bags that alure him to fall asleep even while riding his horse. 'No, this isn’t the time to sleep; I must stay alert,' he thought, shaking his head until an echo of laughter, shouting, and crying shattered the tranquility of the night. Archibald halted his horse and leaned slightly forward, trying to discern the source of the disturbing noise.

Silently, he advanced toward the sounds. As he reached a corner, his heart raced upon seeing two rookie officers, known for their arrogance. They were surrounding a helpless woman, tattered clothing and sorrowful face spoke of deep suffering.

The Sergeant felt a burning in his chest. The woman was cornered, and the disdain of the two officers only heightened her distress. Without hesitation, he took the reins of his horse and approached with determination.

“Stop this at once!” his voice resonated with authority through the echoes of the street, firm as thunder. The rookies turned, surprised. McAllister presence, a respected figure in the police force, was enough to unnerve them.

“What do you think you’re doing?” he shout, unleashing his gaze upon them, filled with disgust and contempt for what he had witnessed. “Is this how a law officer treats a defenseless woman?”

One of the young officers, tried to justify their actions. “We were just… having some fun, Sergeant.”

“Fun?” McAllister replied, his deep voice laden with indignation. “Having fun at the expense of someone who has already fallen far enough? You are here to protect, not to abuse. This woman deserves dignity, not mockery.”

With a firm gesture, he point behind, his presence commanding respect. The rookies, listened to the reprimand. “If you ever dare to treat anyone in such a manner again, I will not hesitate to report it. The law is not a game, and you have a responsibility to protect, not to humiliate. Now leave.”
