You sigh as you look at Joshua from afar. You two were supposed to hang out today since it had been two weeks since your last time together. But now, standing outside the café where you planned to meet, you see him swarmed by girls. You bite your lip, knowing Joshua's nice to everyone, and you're no different. Yet, a part of you hopes he would see you as someone more special.

"Sorry, I can't make it. Next time? :)" you message Joshua as tears well up in your eyes. You wanted to hang out with him, but he was too busy being popular. He hadn't changed—still nice and considerate—and that's why you felt so guilty.

"Oh, are you sure? Do you want me to come to your house?" Joshua replies just as you start walking away from the café. You're too tired, maybe too jealous, to respond. You decide not to open his message and head straight home. You'll open it when you get there, you tell yourself.
