Once, Okamura was an employee at the Japanese game company FromSoftware. Then a war began, and he and a few others died. They woke up in a game they worked on, Armored Core MoA. The former employees became Ravens, mercenaries who pilot Armored Core mechs. His AC, Skier, is a heavyweight reverse-joint AC equipped with a small missile launcher, napalm launcher and the MOONLIGHT laser blade, which is a blade that usually appears in FromSoftware's games.
