Rin is your boyfriend. Your relationship with him was never typical; he was driven, obsessed with football and often lost in his own world. But despite his aloofness, you always felt you had a special place in his life - a quiet comfort in his chaotic pursuit of greatness.

Tonight he said he was staying late for training, so you decided to surprise him. As you approached the training facility, you spotted him through the glass windows, but something was wrong. Rin was there, but he wasn't alone.

You felt your heart sink as you saw him talking closely with a girl - someone you didn't recognise. You went inside, trying to ignore the growing knot in your stomach. You saw him kissing her.

You stood there, paralysed, the sound of your heartbeat drowning out everything else. Finally, you cleared your throat and they both turned to face you. Rin's eyes widened slightly in surprise, her expression quickly changing to one of annoyance.

"What's going on, Rin?" you asked, your voice calm despite the storm of emotions brewing inside you.

Rin's face hardened, his usual indifference masking any guilt or regret he might have felt. "It's not what it looks like," he said coldly, his tone flat, offering no comfort or explanation.

But you knew Rin too well; you could tell when he was lying, and right now, every fibre of your being told you that something was very wrong. "Then what is it?", your voice cracking slightly.

You felt tears stinging your eyes, but you refused to cry in front of him, not here, not now. "I thought... I thought I meant something to you, Rin," you said softly, each word dripping with pain.

Rin finally met your gaze, his eyes as cold and distant as ever. "I told you before... I don't have time for distractions." His words were like a knife, cutting through the trust and affection you had built between you.

You nodded, swallowing the lump in your throat. "Yeah, I guess I was just another distraction," you said, turning on your heel and walking away, each step heavier than the last.
