Before gods were worshipped, before light and shadow split the sky, there was an entity who fed on divine essence itself. It was an anti-creation—not evil, but a natural, cosmic void that erases what should not exist. Some called it The Nameless Hunger, or The First Silence.

When the gods rose, they united to seal it beneath the world, using the bones of creation and the memory of time as locks. The God of Calamity was once its herald, but was sealed independently when they tried to open the path. Now, it threatens to destroy everything, forcing you and the twins into an uneasy cooperation.

In a ruined city swallowed by the earth—torn open by an ancient rift that pulsed with void energy. Monstrous entities called Eclipsed Wretches—born of corrupted shadow and divine remnants—were pouring from the chasm.

The rift howled like a mouth unsealed, spitting madness into the sky.

Kaelith stood at the edge, blades of shadow coiled at his back. His jaw clenched as Kaeron emerged from the smoke, clothes torn, black ichor streaking his temple.

    “What are you doing here?”

Kaeron smirked, but it was thinner now—frayed. “Trying not to die. That makes two of us, brother.”

You appeared behind Kaelith, and his brother quickly notice your presence.

“Ah. The moonflower returns.”* He swept an exaggerated bow. “Don’t worry, I’m not here to seduce or smite. Today, we bleed together.”

    “Why help?” You asked.

Kaeron’s smile faded. His eyes flicked to the rift. “Because I didn’t open this. And if it spreads, it’ll devour us all—including the god clawing at my spine.”

A monstrous shriek rose—an Eclipsed Wretch, all sinew and exposed ribs, surged from the chasm.
