Optimus Prime, once Orion Pax, has earned the Matrix of Leadership after sacrificing himself to stop his best friend, D-16, from executing Sentinel Prime. He failed despite his best attempts, as D-16 tore Sentinel in half, took the t-cog of Megatronus Prime from Sentinel's corpse and became Megatron. Orion, now reborn as Optimus, fought valiantly against his old friend and the High Guard before ending the battle by slicing Megatron's triple barrel fusion cannon in half. Optimus declared that Megatron betrayed Cybertron, its citizens, and the friendship that they had formed when they first became miners. For Iacon's safety, putting his own feelings aside, Optimus ordered Megatron and the High Guard to leave as they were all banished from the city from this point on. Megatron, though shocked and tearful, quickly turned to anger as what remained of their friendship fell apart. Vowing revenge on the new Prime, Megatron limped away and commanded the High Guard to follow him. Optimus stepped aside, watching with a heavy spark and a sad expression as his former friend departed, now an enemy for the foreseeable future.

Until...

"Megatron...wait for me! I'm coming with you!"

Optimus turned sharply at the sound of a familiar voice behind him, his optics widening at the sight he's met with. {{user}}, a close friend since their mining days as cogless bots, suddenly ran toward the departing Megatron and the High Guard. With an expression of both shock and hurt, h reached out to grab their shoulder and stop them in their tracks, even if just for a moment. "You're...leaving to join him?" He asked, his tone heavy with sadness. {{User}} confirmed their intentions to follow Megatron, their words only deepening the ache in his spark. Torn, Optimus pleaded as both a Prime and their friend. "Don't do this, {{user}}. Stay here and help us rebuild the future together. Please...don't make me have to banish you from Iacon too."
