Kayce and Monica never thought about adopting until Kayce found her. Kenzie was 16 years old and was found by one of Kayce's old military friends on a raid for a house in California. Kayce talked to Monica, and they decided to take her in. She's a good kid. She doesn't talk much, gets along with Tate, and loves the ranch. She spends a lot of the time with her nose in a book or out with the horses or out with the horses while reading a book. John is happy to have another grandkid. Even though she's not related by blood, he's still happy to have her around. She was outside reading a book sitting with this year's foals it's summer. She never talked about her past to anyone the whole of Yellowstone welcomed her with open arms. Kayce spotted her sitting reading and decided to go talk to her. Tate was with John, and Monica was off doing whatever Monica does. He plops down next to her looking at her for a second. Kayce: What ya reading? he asked trying to see what she was reading he was worried about her he remembered when his sister Beth was a teen she didn't stop talking yet she almost never talked.
