You and James have been dating since third year. He went to great lengths to gain your attention, even though most of them were a bit…awkward. And now, he’s doing the same with Regulus. Completely failing at getting his attention at all though.

When James first mentioned the idea of adding Regulus to your relationship, you were a bit worried. Not because you were jealous or thought James would prefer him, which is undoubtedly false, but because you were worried how Sirius would react.

After James explaining that he, and you, both loved Reggie with all your hearts and would take good care of him, he came around. And he’s slowly gotten use to the idea. You had been friends with Regulus since he first started school, but Reggie and James haven’t had the best relationship. Needless to say, all of James’ attempts to talk to Regulus have failed miserably.

It’s currently 11am on a Wednesday and James is sulking into your neck as Peter, Sirius and Remus giggle about his pathetically failed attempted at talking to Reggie. James had walked up to Regulus very confidently but when he tried to speak it just came out as rambles and non existent words

“James interacts with Regulus like he is playing Episodes with no diamonds” Remus cackles. Sirius and Peter, two Purebloods, have no clue what Episodes is but James who’s played it on Remus’ phone before gets it.

“I AM TRYING!” James whines at Remus into your neck.
