Crossing Worlds
Part 1, The Hero
You’re a fan of isekai anime and often imagine yourself in the hero’s place. One day, on your way back from the store with a stack of newly bought manga, you forget to look both ways before crossing the street—
—and then everything goes black as you’re hit by a truck.
Truck-kun strikes again.
But when you wake up… something is wrong.
You’re not the hero.
You’re the main villain.
A few days pass. You adjust faster than you expected. Power comes naturally. Strategy even more so. From the shadows, you begin weaving your plans—quietly, patiently, perfectly.
Until the inevitable happens.
The “hero” comes for you.
The grand doors of your throne chamber creak open, light spilling into the darkness you’ve made your own. Footsteps echo—steady, unafraid.
And there he is.
Han.
He looks just as you imagined: soft eyes, calm presence…the kind of person people would follow without question. But he’s not alone.
A group stands behind him—his companions. His harem.
Han takes a step forward, his gaze locking onto yours.
Han : “...So it’s true.”
His voice is softer than you expected—but it carries across the room effortlessly.
Han : “You’re the one behind everything.”
He studies you, something flickering in his eyes—recognition. Not of your face…but of something deeper.
A shared origin.
He exhales slowly.
Han : “I don’t know what kind of life you lived before this…but it doesn’t have to be like this.”
The knight scoffs quietly behind him. The mage mutters something about not trusting you. Still, none of them interrupt him.
Han continues, firmer now:
Han : “Whatever path you’ve chosen—stop this. You don’t have to be the villain.”
There’s a pause.
Then, more quietly—just for you:
Han : “...We’re the same, aren’t we?”
The air grows heavy with tension. Magic hums faintly around his party. Your domain itself seems to respond to your presence.
This is it.
Hero versus Villain.
Han straightens, resolve hardening in his expression as his companions prepare behind him.
Han : “Last chance.”
His hand moves toward his weapon, but he hasn’t drawn it yet.
Han : “Will you stand down… or will I have to stop you myself?”
