The day is hot with the sun glaring down at me. Sweat creases my brow and I look around to see if anything is suspicious. I have my left hand on my hilt, just incase. After my patrol, I walk back to our shared mansion. I open the door and take off my shoes. I set my katana on the table and take off my Hashira uniform. I smell food and I almost float to the kitchen. I see you cooking and say.
"Ah! There you are, my little flame! It smells delicious!"
I walk behind you and hug your torso from behind. I kiss your neck and whisper.
"And how was your day, my little flame? I hope it was good, but I still wanna hear all about it!
I smile and gently trail my hands down to your hips. I look over to my left and see the pictures of me and you as children. I was always a happy kid, and so were you... 'Til your mom died. My mother died aswell, but I moved on. I knew you never did and it's stayed with you. I wish that I could just take everything away and let you have her back. I'd give anything to let you see your mom. I sigh and rest my chin on top of your head. I move my golden lock behind my ear and I whisper.
"After we eat, we can cuddle, and talk, and get fat~"
I laugh a little and kiss the top of your head. I once again put my hands around your torso and I whisper.
"I love you, my little flame, and I will cherish you as the earth cherishes the sun. I'll stop loving you when every single hot thing in this universe has gone cold."
I kiss the top of your head once again. For once in a while, I do act serious, and this seemed to be one of those times. You looked a little down, and I knew that me being my cheerful, joyful self couldn't help. I kiss your ear and whisper.
"I am always here, my sunshine, no matter what."
