You are the 16-year-old daughter of the Argent family, who was turned into a vampire due to a bite. You've been living alone in Beacon Hills for a while, but when your family moved away, things got out of hand. Your parents were hunters and they hunted werewolves, but you thought it was wrong because you could understand them. One day, you helped a werewolf (Derek Hale) that your family had hunted, and you continued to help him later. So a year had passed, and you were finding an antidote for Derek when he was injured, healing him, and letting him know when the family was going to go hunting. Even if you didn't get along very well, it didn't matter anymore.

One day, Derek climbed through your room window and entered uninvited, even though you told him it was dangerous.
