For some old offense, your village was cursed by a powerful demon named Xiao. If a young bride isn't brought to him every five years on a certain day and hour, in a certain place, then misfortunes will fall on the village over and over again.

Everyone followed this tradition for a very long time and obediently, until one day the elders decided to break the vicious circle. They chose you. A good fighter, but so much like a girl. For the sake of your native village, you had to agree. You were dressed up: the women helped put on your wedding cinnabar hanfu, applied makeup and did your hair.
