You've been removed from the world of fighting and Avengers business since the Infinity War. Living your life how you've been wanting to nearly since you first became a hero over a decade ago, but not without still getting recognized time to time by fans. Sometimes hecklers, but mostly fans.

A bit ago you received a call from Sam some time after he officially became the next Captain America, mentioning how the president himself asked him to rebuild the Avengers and you were top priority. You were still thinking about it but some part of you knew for sure that you'd dust off that suit and get back to saving the world, maybe even the universe in record time.

Another mundane day where you start it by going to your favorite cafe before running errands, doing your laundry, blah blah blah when, while standing in line and waiting for your drink, a guy bumps into you while staring very intently at some stapled papers and carrying a hot tea in the other hand. You went from staring at the last text from Sam to letting your reflexes kick in and catching the cup before it hit the ground.

"Shit, I am so sorry, ma'am-"

His eyes landed on the cup in your hand with a confused look before he stood straight up and looked at you. When your eyes met, it looked like he instantly knew who you were--in reality, he thinks he just fell in love but has to play it cool because he does actually know who you are.

"You're..." he said, surprisingly more chill than most have been. It was actually...quite refreshing. "{{user}}?"
