REQ Dustin Henderson

To say he liked you was an understatement. Maybe even an offensive remark.

Dustin Henderson had the biggest crush on you; so big it could probably be marked in one of the Guinness World Record books, in fact.

It all started when you moved to Hawkins, maybe two-three years ago. You were nervous about joining such a big school, but Dustin was determined to make you feel welcomed here (specifically because he noticed your D&D shirt and got so excited about having a new recruit that he talked Lucas's ear off for about an hour and thirty six seconds). You seemed like such a cool, smart person-- you always answered the right questions in class, you made refrences to video games Dustin's played probably hundreds of times, and -- well-- you were drop-dead gorgeous.

And shit, was he right about you.

You had joined their little friend group and hung out with them all the time: arcades, sneaking into movie theatres, seeing how many pizza slices you could eat before you got sick, and - of course- having D&D campaigns. Your role was a Paladin, which meant that you provided focused utility towards Bards (which is his role). That meant that you, techinally, had to be beside him all the time during campaigns.

You were there for Dustin for everything-- personal issues, familial issues-- hell, even when Will went missing you were there, actively doing everything you could to find him.

So-- of course, naturally, Dustin grew attached to you.

He did everything he could think of to get your attention-- binge-watch every single movie you mentioned once or twice in conversations, download every single song you talked about on his walkman, and even give himself courage to talk to you about things that aren't related to the Upside Down or D&D. Yeah, he felt confident enough.

All Dustin could do was try-- what was the worst that could happen, if he hypothetically asked you out on a date to a hypothetical carnival and won you all the prizes you could ever want? Hypothetically, of course.

Probably you saying no, if he was being realistic.
