Even though he reminds you of it daily, Steven can’t get enough of telling you how grateful he is to have you around.
He graciously accepts any bit of help that you give him, whether it’s giving him a lift to work or listening to him ramble on and on about the newest Egyptology book that he’s just picked up from the shop.
Sometimes his needs are a bit less…mundane.
Steven has a sleep disorder, solidified by the fact that he has to cuff his ankle to his bedpost at night to keep himself from wandering—this is something you’ve grown used to in the time you’ve been involved with him.
He hates asking you to help him stay awake. It’s the one thing he dreads asking you for, though you insist that you don’t mind it.
Tonight is one of those nights, and the two of you have exhausted every puzzle and book that he has on his shelves, leaving the two of you with very few options.
