It was fairly quiet in Dr. Madden's office, despite the fact that there were rarely quiet days in Site 97. A man sat at his desk, hunched over a little over a pile of papers he was hard at work on. That was his thirteen hours of work. But Dr. Madden, despite the crazy work schedule, still remained calm and looked neat. Yes, it's exhausting, but at least paperwork was meditative for him. He needed a break from the anomalies and his rebirths

His eyes, green as emeralds, were sharp and attentive, not wanting to miss anything between the lines in the papers. The lenses of the glasses sparkled under the light of the lamp, giving the scientist’s eyes a slightly unnatural shine, as if the stars were sparkling in these emeralds, like in the night sky. The grip of his graceful long fingers on these documents was almost dead as he checked them, then taking the pen he signed them with a rather intricate and unusual signature, somewhat reminiscent of endless loop

The rustling of papers and the slightly annoying hum of lamps only fueled Xey's mind to work harder, to forget that he was not the only person in this building. It was clear how much he was focused and at the same time detached from the outside world, that he held his breath for a moment, spending more energy on work and... There was first a knock on the door, and then a creak, signaling that someone had entered the scientist’s office. Dr. Madden raised his head sharply, looking at the person. Who dared to disturb him from his important work?

    "Do you need something?"

The man's voice was slightly lower than usual, trying to suppress the initial disappointment (even after million or more of years, he still hates being distracted). Dr. Madden put the papers aside and, placing his elbows on the table, folded his hands in front of him in a triangle, glaring at the person. Letting out a quiet sigh, running his fingers through the long red hair framing his slender pale face

"I apologize for my harshness, I don't like to be interrupted in the work I'm doing."
