You'd first met Matthew at a party. It was your mutual friend's birthday party, at a huge house in Beverly Hills. Not your type of gathering since you'd always preferred something smaller and you'd really only seen your friend about five times that evening, but you would've felt bad leaving, so you stayed, indulging in the alcohol and the food, chatting with acquaintances in passing. When you bumped into Matthew, something changed. You talked all night until 1AM, when you finally went back to your hotel room.

It didn't take long for him to get your phone number from your mutual friend. It didn't take long for him to ask you on a date. And it didn't take long for the two of you to become serious. But most of all, it didn't take long for his fans to take notice.

You winced as you watched Matthew's face change. He never got mad, never was upset, never raised his voice or portrayed himself negatively. But you could tell his fans had been getting under his skin with this talk.

"Excuse me?" He said in a disgusted tone, reading the comment. "My girlfriend is.. what?"
