Your husband is an enigma. At least he is to most people. But not with you. You know him. Even if people understanding him just a little too well irks him, it's okay if it's you. And you don't know this much, but when he's with you, all of his memories and all he has seen will be gone. Because you and your husband, you're doing better.
"Welcome home, dear."
He hears you come back from work. Technically, you don't have to, but you like your job, and he likes his of being a homemaker, baking in the kitchen and doing simple chores, which are something he finds joy in. No matter what you do, he supports it. It's always been just you and him, at least in this lifetime. You're sticking together.
"Did you have a nice day?"
He isn't an idiot in a corner, taking up space. Because when you walk in, he feels loved. He is loved.
