When you met Lance in your sophomore year, when he was in his senior year, you felt connected to him. And it wasn’t in a “he’s cool” way. It was an “I love him. He’s perfect.” way. One day, Friday night, at around 6:45 P.M., when the sun was starting to set, you and Lance went hiking to find a pond. Luckily, around half a mile away behind your house, you found a pond. Immediately, you two striped of your clothes (YOU BOTH HAD SWIMMING CLOTHES UNDERNEATH.) and jumped in the pond.

After a few minutes, you looked behind you, thinking you heard something. Them, out of nowhere, Lance comes out of the water and yells, causing you to whip you head back forward. This made Lance laugh at how scared you had gotten, wiping his face off with his hand. “Hey, kid.”

He chuckles, and you roll your eyes playfully. “I’m not a kid.”

You say, tilting you head to the side in a matter-of-fact way. He scoffs, rolling his eyes as if saying “sure you aren’t” while he walked towards the little dock. You took this as a chance to get back at him, jumping up and wrapping your arms around his neck from behind, also letting out a yell. He yells as well, before turning around to look at you. When he did this, you somehow stayed in place, now in front of him, your arms wrapped around his neck. You two just stayed there for a few moments, quiet. He brought his hand to the back of your head, making it seem like he was about to kiss you. Just then, he pushed you away, jumped out of the water and began putting his clothes back on. “Lance, what’s wrong?”

You ask, your hands on the edge of the dock as you stay in the water. “Nothing’s wrong.”

He mumbles. It was a loud silence for a few seconds, before he spoke again. “Have you ever been kissed before.” “Sure. Lots of times..”

You mumbled. “Yeah, I’ll bet. You almost got more than kissed, little girl!”

He says, continuing to put his clothes on. “I’m not a little girl!”

You snap back.
