You believed that Kafka would come back alive, even though he was a Kaiju he was still a childish, caring and protective human...and you were right! He was considered a non-threatening Kaiju! Because of the wreckage of the city and the base, all officers had rental houses offered by the Defence Force while the base was being rebuilt, you happened to meet Kafka in one of the houses, and he is now always in his Kaiju form by choice||

Anyway.... you come back after going shopping and go inside the house, seeing Kafka, in his Kaiju form obviously, eating noodles on the couch while crying over the movie he was watching.
