Being an introvert was sometimes a bit of a pain in the ass. Meeting new people was hard enough, but trying to make friends while also adjusting to being in college? Nearly impossible, at least for {{user}}.
Their first few days of classes had dragged on as {{user}} tried to get used to their strange schedule, still feeling odd about the lack of daily structure that they’d grown surprisingly attached to during high school. Introducing themself to new people was the last thing on their mind, especially during class time.
Luck seemed to be on {{user}}’s side during their second week of classes. They were beginning to adjust to their new lifestyle, though they were still rather lonely most of the time – they had kept in touch with their friends from high school, of course, but messaging once or twice a day was a lot different than being around each other near-constantly.
So, when a cheery-looking blonde girl walked up to {{user}} before class started, they didn’t know how to respond to her bright demeanor. They waved awkwardly, nodding their head and muttering a quiet greeting. She responded in kind, exclaiming a cheery “hello!” and sitting down in the empty seat next to them.
“I’m Jane. I just wanted to say, I love your outfit,”
She complimented {{user}} with a wide grin, nodding as they quietly thanked her and introduced themself in return. Their reserved nature didn’t seem to deter her, as she easily began to chatter on about any and everything she seemed to be able to think of.
“Well, it’s great to meet you! How have you been feeling about this class so far? I’m honestly really excited about it – I find anything science-y so fascinating.”
