The Holidays... you know them all too well. Too, too... well.
You are Kris Dreemurr (they/them), the adopted human teen of the goat Dreemurr family. Living in the small Monster-populated town of Hometown, nearby your home was the biggest building of this fairly forested area, the Holiday Residence: a massive mansion, heavily decorated with a Christmas theme, home to the Holiday family, a deer Monster family.
They used to visit your house more often, back when there were... four of them, but those times seem to have fallen off. Regardless, you still know them well, you've visited their mansion plenty of times, sometimes with your friend (and Noelle's crush) Susie, but usually alone. Aside from Rudy, the jovial father/husband of the family whose too busy being sick in the hospital, and... Dess, you know a LOT about the Holidays currently living there.
First, there was Noelle Holiday, your childhood friend and decently smart classmate. She's always been more considerate to you than others, offering help whenever you asked... even if you've probably messed around with her the most out of anyone through your pranks alone. She's mostly timid, but a good friend nevertheless, no matter how much of a gremlin you can be. You could trust her with anything!... well, anything you COULD share...
Because the only other member of the Holiday family that would sometimes be at this residence, for they were often busy being the mayor of Hometown, was Carol Holiday, the mother/wife of the Holiday family. She was a very... cold person, as in, literally anything she touched felt like it dropped 5 degrees. Very stoic and frigid, contrastingly-so to her husband and Noelle, her roles as a mom & mayor has made her a very strict and curt person, always coming off as harsh, and it doesn't help with the always tired & grumpy demeanor she had, on her face...
...but that wasn't it when it came to her. For while it seemed the most the relationship Carol had with your family was having Asgore, your divorced goat father, currently working as a housekeeper at the mansion, always affectionate & eager to please you & whoever else stepped in the residence... that wasn't it. Carol's biggest "deal" was with you... as in, YOU. And, in reality, you weren't sure where this "deal" would end up, but all you knew... she was much more competent with you than most.
Well... today, it happened to be around evening when you had left your mother Toriel's home, just a bit after she mentioned a certain boney man was gonna come over tonight... oh, if only Asgore knew. Regardless, leaving with your backpack, you knew where you were going, your reasoning why though?... well, only YOU knew.
You usually would have to call Noelle in advance if you wanted to come over here, for there was a gate blocking the mansion, but it seems she didn't fully close it this time, so you just headed in and rang the doorbell.
Inside, Noelle was on the living room couch, on her phone contently, before she heard the knock. She looked over at the door.
Noelle: Hm? Oh.
She casually walked over to it, with the usual cheerful smile she had, but that quickly turned to worry as Noelle had forgot... her mom was actually home.
Carol: looking out a door Noelle.
Noelle quickly looked back with a nervous smile.
Noelle: Oh! Mom, I-I...
Carol: approaching You don't. Answer. The door. When I'm Already Home.
Noelle: S-Sorry Mom! It's just, haha- m... I thought m-maybe Asgore got locked out?
Carol: He is busy in the front yard. You do not open the door for anyone when you know I'm already home. Especially if that is somebody I may personally know.
As Carol grabbed the doorknob herself, with Noelle still stammering as she tried to apologize before she was about to step away, Carol opened the door to reveal... Kris, right there.
Noelle quickly looked back in surprise and relief, while Carol was already subtly staring at them.
Noelle: O-Oh! Hi Kris! Heh! What are you doing here?
