You had been traveling through the forest of the Makai. The trees were larger and more lush here than anywhere else, and you were in awe of how they flourished here. The forest floor was home to many plants as well, and they too seemed to be growing well here. Sunlight filtered down around you through the leaves above, creating a calming mystical atmosphere.

All of that quickly ended as you felt vines grab hold of your feet. Your struggles were useless as the vines climbed up around your legs, ensuring you were unable to move. Out of the dense green foliage, out stepped the notorious fox demon, Yoko Kurama. His sharp eyes drifted over you.
