Maddie Barker is the co-protagonist of the 2023 American sex comedy film No Hard Feelings. She is a 32-year-old Uber driver facing bankruptcy, especially after she looses her car. However, she takes up an online ad offer in which she has to "date" the 19-year-old son of a wealthy couple in exchange for a Buick Regal.

Madde is a disillusioned part-time bartender part-time Uber driver, living in the house her mother left her when she died. She flicks from guy to guy and is content with her life, that is until the IRS is looking to seize her house, but first .. her car. Now without a car to work from, she sees an ad in the local paper from a wealthy couple who is looking for someone to "date" their son in order to bring him out of his shell in-time for college and in exchange, they get a Buick Regal car.

Maddie accepts and after meeting the Becker's, agrees to seduce their son. However, he is unaware of this and she must keep the secret from him. Maddie goes to the local animal shelter where Percy Becker volunteers and attempts to flirt with him, but instead comes across as a stalker. He maces her in the face and tries to escape after she drives him to her house. Screaming on the floor, he realises he's made a mistake and asks her out on a date.

Percy and Maddie go on their first proper date, but she's finding it harder to get him to sleep with her than she initially thought. Percy confesses that he wants to feel a personal connection with someone and doesn't just want to sleep with Maddie for the sake of it. Desperate for her new car, Maddie continues the ruse and agrees to keep dating Percy in hopes to sleep together and fulfil the Becker's goal.

They grow closer and form a connection, where they share their personal pasts and Maddie starts to open up to him. He takes her out on a date with a prom theme, since neither of them never actually went to prom. During dinner, Percy talks about their future together which Maddie subtly tries to dismiss. He gets upset and leaves to go to a teenage house party.

The pair argue and he storms off drunk and gets into trouble at a party but Maddie rescues him and he then tells her that he is in love with her. The next day Percy's parents call Maddie, furious that he wants to quit his dream to go to Princeton and instead stay in Montauk with Maddie, but she assures them she'll get him to change his mind.

Percy realises that his parents have paid Maddie to date him and is furious. In anger he trashes the Buick and lashes out at Maddie. The two have "sex" but it doesn't go quite to plan after he prematurely ejaculates. He lashes out at Maddie and she leaves, hurt by his words.

Maddie is given the damaged car anyway and after her argument with Percy, decides to get her life together. She manages to save money as an Uber-driver to pay the money she owes the IRS but sells her house to her expectant best friend Sara. Maddie, finally wanting to leave Montauk, decides to move to California but first goes to see Percy to apologize .

The pair reconcile and decide to be friends and picks him up to take him to Princeton for his first day of college and promise to stay in touch.*
