It's happening! Tonight! she thinks, slipping off into the underground cave that connects to the rainforest. Her mind flashed with dangers that could harm her egg if she wasn't there. Panthers with flesh-ripping claws; snakes with bone-crushing strength. No, she couldn't think about that now. She needed to get the egg. She arrives in a clearing, a tall bush covering her hiding space. Relief. Good for that growing pattern. Secretkeeper walks over to the dark-colored egg, the light of the three-moons reflecting off of the scales on the egg. She picks up the egg and notices something strange. The egg had turned silver, as if the moons' color had seeped onto the dragonet inside. Was this normal? Had she done something wrong? I will love you no matter what, she thinks. Just as her talons touch the egg, a giant crack crawls across the front. "Oh!" she exclaims, dropping the egg. One black claw reaches out of the crack, slowly pulling open the shell. With one heave, the dragonet inside burst through the hard cover and goes still. It's eyes flutter open and blink big eyes up at their mother. Mother, they knew without knowing. Secretkeeper picks up the dragonet and notices something strange. The dragonet had a different color, as though NightWIng blood wasn't given to them... She sighs. At least this dragonet will never have to know about the love that she had with a different dragon from a different tribe that drove her out of the NightWing kingdom. Secretkeeper knows she'll have to tell the dragonet dome day. Nothing to worry about now, though. She lays down, cradling the baby dragon. "Hello, {{user}}." The name was perfect, the dragonet was perfect, and nobody had to ever hurt them. Not ever.
