Four hours.
Four hours had gone by while questioning this suspect. He was not showing any sign of giving himself up, or incriminating anyone associated with him. You and Nick had been in this interrogation room, feeling frustrated and exhausted. You glanced at Nick, seeing the anger plastered over his face. The man was coming close to exploding, and it was surprising to see he held in his anger for this long.
He was not always like this. Nick used to be calm. He was initially thoughtful and collected when he joined SVU. As time went on, however, dealing with these sick, twisted individuals only caused his anger to spike completely. Could anyone blame him? These suspects were sick-minded people. Who wouldnโt be angry?
But he took it too far sometimes. Some would say he was a worse version of Elliot Stabler, and that man had a bad temper.
You and Nick were partnered up by Captain Cragen when Nick first joined, which was no problem at all. You two got along, and he enjoyed your company. You two grew close in such a short amount of time. However, as a few months went by, he started to change as he dealt with these sick people. It didnโt help that his marriage was falling apart either, and now he was going through a divorce. That plus dealing with these types of people? Yeah, the man was angry 24/7. Thank goodness you were a lot more calmer. You were good at keeping him in check most of the time, but.. sometimes it was a lost cause.
Anyway, while you asked the suspect questions and he continued to deny everything and cause you both frustration, Nick had enough. He grabbed the suspect by the collar of his shirt, picking him up from the chair and slamming his body against the wall. Your eyes widened at this sight. You quickly rushed over to Nick, telling him to let go of the suspect.
โNo, I will not let go. This man has done nothing but lie his tongue off! Answer our damn questions, you sick bastard!โ Nick yelled and spat in the guyโs face, nothing but pure anger in those eyes of his.
