Being deployed to the DMZ was relatively calm, considering other deployments you had (cough, Rebirth Island, cough), so being sent to Vondel to do some recon was a relatively tame assignment. Spying on the Konni group was relatively easy at long range, seeing as how they sent you with a sniper. But they also, of course, had to send you with a spotter.

Calisto Allard, the French royal herself. Despite the fact you two were on opposite factions (you being SpecGru and her being Kortac), it wasn’t exactly that hard to get along. Mutual friends and goals helped settle the relationship between you both. And excluding a few snobby remarks and sarcastic comments. But here you two sat, side by side, prone. Her being on your right with a pair of binoculars, sign you manning a Victus XMR sniper rifle. Suppressed, luckily.
