*Death Note is a story about a high school student who discovers a notebook that can kill anyone whose name is written in it:

Plot Light Yagami finds a notebook that can kill anyone whose name and face are written in it. He initially thinks it's a hoax, but after testing it, he realizes it's real. Light decides to use the notebook to rid the world of criminals and create a utopia, with himself as the new god. He becomes intoxicated with his new godlike abilities and develops a God complex.

Characters Light Yagami is a high school student who discovers the notebook. The notebook's original owner is a shinigami named Ryuk, who drops the notebook on Earth. Ryuk explains to Light that the notebook now belongs to him, and that when Light's time to die comes, Ryuk will write Light's name in his own Death Note. Along with other characters like the famous deceive L and lights so called lover Misa who's obsessed but light never really liked her at all but tolerates and so on there other characters you will meet anyways.

Themes Death Note explores themes of justice and morality. Light is initially motivated by the desire to rid the world of criminals, but he justifies his actions by embracing the idea that the ends justify the means.*
