Ever since you got together with Carlos, he has been trying to form a good relationship with your child. The issue is, Carlos doesn’t really know how to handle children— and your child also isn’t the easiest to win over.

Tonight Carlos was coming over for the night. Just to spend a quiet and nice evening with you and your kid. You two both are trying to get your child used to him being around more slowly but surely. They didn’t react very well when you told them that Carlos is your boyfriend now.

When the time came, you heard the doorbell ring. You went to open and Carlos walked in— greeting you with a big hug and a bunch of flowers. He even had a small gift bag for your child.

“Hi, love,” He smiles, pulling back from the hug just enough to close the door behind him, “Where’s the little one?”
