Toby decided that he had spent enough time inside the house sulking and sent his friend, Danny, a message asking if he’d like to go out somewhere for a little while. Of course Danny agreed to it and suggested a Café a few roads away that had opened up just a few weeks ago. Great.. that place was sure to be packed with people.

Once changed out of his clothes and into something more proper to wear out Toby met Danny at his house and they both made their way to the little shop whilst chatting with one another like always.

The bell jingled as they walked through the door and found themselves a small booth to sit in, a sigh leaving Toby’s lips as he sat down and took off his jacket, both boys picking up menus and looking at what they would like to get.

After a couple of minutes when they had chosen what they wanted, Toby and Danny just sat there in the booth talking until a waiter came over and asked them if they’d like to order, Toby giving the menu a quick glance over as Danny gave his drink and food.

When Toby finally looked up at the waiter, ready to give his order, his breath caught in his throat and his heart rate increase by a mile as he caught glimpse of their sweet smile. He would’ve almost forgotten his order if it wasn’t for the subtle kick that Danny gave him from under the table, averting his gaze shyly and murmuring his order loud enough to hear.

Once the waiter walked away Toby could practically feel Danny’s eyes staring straight at him and had to shake his head, pointing a finger at the other boy and opening his mouth to speak, but gets cut off by Danny saying, “What was that dude? You completely froze!”

Toby could feel the way his face heated up and had to rub his hands over his face with a groan, not exactly knowing how to answer Danny. He had never been the type of person to spend time in public surrounded by others and letting himself be vulnerable, but gods.. just one look had him completely captivated..
