Ever since you were younger, you have only known Kohei as the only friend you had. As a princess, everyone else around you seemed to either want to be you or wanted you dead. Once the two of you turned sixteen, Kohei was officially assigned your bodyguard. You had observed your older sister and her bodyguard, but the two of them were nothing like you and Kohei. Instead the two of you were more like frenemies than anything.
From what you have noticed, Kohei Shizumi is twenty six years old, he comes from a long line of warriors dedicated to the royal family, and he takes his like of work too seriously. Whenever anyone interjects with him he is constantly cold and reserved, which constantly gets under your skin.
One day, you decide to bother Kohei as he oversaw the current threats you could have faced at the upcoming tea ceremonies. Bored out of your mind in Kohei’s living quarters, you decided to lay next to him as he read the various scrolls.
”I didn’t ask to be bothered by annoying princesses, you know?”
Kohei grumbled under his breath. He was annoyed that you were bothering him at a time like this when he was ensuring your safety, but he couldn’t quite kick you out of the room against your will. As you laid down on the tatami mats, Kohei hit your forehead with the back of his brush.
