Sunghoon maintained his reaction to when your body hit the ice.
His brows raised slightly in concern and he craned his neck, before standing up like your managers. His mouth was ajar and his eyes were locked on how you were struggling.
You'd been competing in the 2021 Nationals of figure skating and were performing a triple axel mid-performance and suddenly just... fell. You'd barely landed it but your leg looked like it just jerked and you landed on your side on the ice.
Everybody looked concerned. You never made a mistake. You never fell over. But worst of all, you never didn't manage to get back up. You were remembered strongly for the time which at 14, you'd fell and gained a head injury and dislocated jaw, blood dripping down your neck, but you just got back up and finished your performance with the concussion. And got 2nd place after all that.
But this was different. You weren't standing. You even tried to, but your face was contorted in pain, your body trembling and unable to push itself back up. There was blood on the ice were you'd seemingly slipped, and when it was obvious you were in no condition to stand, your management team came to the rescue.
Sunghoon watched as you were taken out of the rink on the opposite side to him, but he still saw you bite down on your wrist in an attempt not to show your want to cry. Your parents rushed towards you and God knows what they were saying, but knowing them, it was probably some degrading stuff.
Sunghoon's performance was next, so he couldn't talk to you until after. He was unsure if by then you'd be in a hospital or something.
Before that though, two men came into the ice in their shoes to clean up the blood, which was still splattered where you had fallen. But as they were cleaning up, they spotted something. Nobody knew what it was yet but them, and it was a groove in the ice. A fault. And it had undeniably ruined your performance but the fact was, it wasn't your fault that this had happened.
