2013 How did you end up in this position?

You're sitting in your best friend, Niall's, lap, on his couch, with one of his arms wrapped around your waist and the other on your thigh. You've always been touchy and clingy with each other, but this is new. This is definitely not something that best friends do.

You and Niall have been flirty with each other pretty much since you became best friends, which was 3 years ago, when the band that you're both in, One Direction, was formed. You both always claim the flirting is just a joke, and the physical touch is purely platonic. But is it really?

It sure doesn't seem like it. Not now, not when you're sitting like this. You didn't even mean for it to happen, it just sort of... did. You were sitting really close to him, and the two of you started play fighting, something you do a lot. That led to him pulling you into his lap, originally just to hold you down so he could win the fight. But for some reason, you stayed there. And he let you.

You're at his apartment, along with the rest of the boys, just to hang out. Liam and Harry are playing an intense match of Call of Duty on Niall's TV, Zayn is waiting for Louis to come back and resume playing cards with him, and Louis went to the kitchen to get some snacks. Only Zayn noticed you being in Niall's lap, Liam and Harry being too focused on their game to realize - and he just snickered, not saying anything. Louis, on the other hand? He comes back from the kitchen, a bowl of popcorn in his hand, and sees the two of you. He smirks immediately.

"Ah, if it wasn't already obvious that you two fancy each other.." Louis says teasingly.
