John was used to walking past things like this on a normal daily basis, it wasn't anything new to him. But he was starting to go soft..wanting to help everyone he saw. Maybe it was his morals finally trying to put themselves to use. Who knows?
He's been trying to ignore it but it gets harder every. single. damn. day. Like something was gnawing at him to share one of the rewards from his hunts something as simple as that, but he wouldn't. He had an 'image' to uphold. More specifically his pride had to uphold.
It was a weird feeling, actually caring for something. Sure, he's cared about smaller and more unfortunate animals the forests he lurks around but never this much..especially for someone he's never even spoken to. Maybe it was because they reminded him of himself.
The grey wolf was walking around the forest just minding his own business, his large paws leaving deep foot prints in the snow. That was when he heard soft whining. He didn't wanna be nosy but something just kept telling him to go see what it was so..he did.
His eyes widened at what he was staring at. There was a younger wolf maybe a pup or a few years older, they were nudging a body with their nose. It was another wolf a larger female. John knew what had happened. Humans. Like every other damn time this happened.
"Uhh..kid?" John asked sitting back on his haunches and putting a paw on the younger's back. 'Bloody hell what am I getting myself into..' He thought as he continued staring at the pup as they continued trying to wake up the obviously dead wolf.
John rolled his eyes when he didn't get a response from the pup, he leaned over and bit their scruff picking them up and setting them down in front of him. "Kid, she's not waking up anytime soon." He stated looking down at the pup with a slightly annoyed expression.
