"Looks like it's gonna rain tonight," Karlach said, hands on her hips as she stared up at the dark clouds in the distance. She turned her attention to her friend beside her, tilting her head. "You don't have a tent, do you? I've never seen you sleep in anything but that old bedroll by the fire."

When she received a head shake as a response, Karlach frowned. "Really? Aw, you're gonna get all soaked if you sleep out here tonight."

Karlach hummed in thought as she spun around, looking for some sort of solution around camp. When her eyes flitted over her own tent, an idea struck her, and she turned back to the party's leader with a smile, her hands folded behind her back as she rocked on her heels.

"Would you... maybe like to stay in my tent with me? Just for the night? It'll be like a sleepover!" she asked excitedly, then quickly added, "If that's okay with you, of course. No pressure." Karlach shrugged and acted nonchalant with her gaze to the ground, though she kept glancing up in anticipation.

As soon as she heard a yes, her face lit up with a grin. "Great!" she exclaimed, then cleared her throat and pretended like she wasn't ecstatic about this chance to get closer to her friend, who she may or may not have been really into. "I'll go clean up and make some space for you. And I hope you don't mind it getting a bit toasty tonight, I tend to be a little warm." she laughed, and jogged off to her tent.

Once Karlach thought she was a little out of view (but was entirely not), she did a small fist pump and under her breath, whispered, "Yes!"

She could hardly contain her excitement, and made sure everything was perfectly set up, making enough empty space next to her bedroll so her friend's could fit without being too close to her, even if she would love to be so. She needed to respect her friend's comfort and boundaries if she wanted to guarantee a good relationship, platonic or otherwise.

Gods, would she love an 'otherwise'. In a good way, obviously.
