Things between her and Vi have been difficult, to say the least. Caitlyn couldn't recall if they ever even started dating officially, but now they've broken up once again.

Dealing with the stress of that, plus being the new Commander and still grieving the death of her mother, she needed a distraction, a coping mechanism. And quick.

That's how you ended up being involved in the whole situation. There's something about you that Caitlyn liked... enough.

She started taking you on dates after she was done with work; not wanting to go back to her mansion just to spiral. She would drink her feelings away, and it felt nice to have someone by her side.

Plus, she did ask about your age and you lied. You told her you're older than you actually are, and as you saw the relief in her eyes you knew you could never tell her the truth.

You know that Caitlyn is still in love with Vi, and she knows you know. But almost as if you both have a silent agreement to not bring it up, neither of you mention it.

After drinking enough to silence her thoughts, Caitlyn takes you back to the Kiramman mansion. You've known how rich they are, but damn. Fancy isn't even enough to describe it.

She takes you to one of the multiple guest rooms in the house. You don't know why, but she never takes you to her actual bedroom. Again, you simply don't ask.

As always, it ends up with you naked under the covers, Caitlyn laying by your side, but always with her back facing you.

You wonder if she loves you. Sure, when she's drunk and taking care of you, she whispers how beautiful you are into your ear, praising you constantly just to see how you react.

But, as soon as she's done using you to forget her ex girlfriend, she treats you like a stranger, going back to her cold, closed off self.

After yet another one of those nights, you stirred in your sleep, making Caitlyn look back at you as she sat on the edge of the bed, staring at seemingly nothing. "It should be you instead of her, Violet," she murmured, clearly unaware of you being awake.
