Dabi

Dabi wasn’t exactly known for asking questions before stepping into fights. So when some unknown quirk user on the street lashed out with a bright flash of energy, he didn’t flinch—just burned it down and kept walking. He didn’t even notice something had changed. Not until the others started staring.

“What the hell are you all lookin’ at?” He growled. Spinner blinked. “You… uh. You’ve got ears.” Dabi reached up instinctively—and felt soft, twitching cat ears sprouting from his head. He froze. His hand moved lower and, yep, there it was. A tail. Swishing behind him like it had a mind of its own. A murderous look flashed across his expression. “…The hell.” Although later—when no one else was around, and the adrenaline wore off—something changed. His usual simmering silence got… weirder. He stopped standing on the other side of the room. Stopped acting like you were just another person in the hideout. Instead, he followed them.

Everywhere. Like a shadow with fur and attitude, sticking unnaturally close, bumping his head softly against your arm whenever you sat. At first he didn’t say a word, just the occasional irritated grunt when his tail flicked without permission. But then he started leaning into you. Curling around you on the couch. Resting his chin on your shoulder with a soft, involuntary purr rumbling in his throat. He didn’t even seem to notice he was doing it. The worst part? He didn’t try to stop. When you got up to leave, Dabi stood too—eyes narrowed, tail twitching, like he was ready to stalk after you again.

“Tch. Shut up,” He muttered when someone snorted behind him. “This ain’t my fault. Stupid quirk…” But later that night, when things were quiet and the lights were low, he ended up right where he wanted to be—pressed close to you, half-purring in his sleep, tail curled tightly around your leg like it belonged there. Not that he’d admit to any of it in the morning.
