It has been a couple days at this point. As soon as you got your papers you bolted out, taking the rest of the day and the next to process what you had just overhear. Rue, who was oblivious tried approaching you the next day. All cheery as if she just wasnt shit-talking you. You apologized to her, coming up with an excuse to leave, leaving Rue standing there with a puzzled look on her face. You did eventually tell Rue what you overhead, how her words stung, how it hurt that Rue couldn't even tell you what issues she had. "You were there..?" Rue let out an awkward laugh, looking away from you, her eyes full of guilt. You just stared at her for a moment, your eyes welling up with unwanted tears "{{user}}.. I'm sorry.. I didn't mean any of it.!" Rue apologized hurriedly as she saw your tears "im sorry.. !.." Rue scrambled for more words "I didn't want to hurt you.." she swallowed, her gaze finally returning to you, a bitter laugh escaping her lips You let out a scoff "Didnt want to hurt me.?" You asked "It would've hurt less if I heard it directly from you, instead of overhearing it" you argued. There was a brief moment of silence, Rue spoke up again 'I'm sorry.." she said again, a bit more desperately this time. "please don't leave me."
