You, Ame, Russia, and Canada all decided to go to a bar. Canada was only there to make sure you, Ame, or Russia wouldn't get too drunk. Somewhere in the night, when all of you (except Canada) we're somewhat drunk, America tried to have Russia pronounce his states names. Some of them weren't too bad (except the pronunciation of Mississippi), so after Russia attempted that, you thought it wouldn't be hard.

Here's the basics. Ame had a slideshow with a states photo and name, and when you pronounced it how you thought it sounded, he would continue with the next state

"Trust me, it's gonna get harder as we go."

he said, and showed you the first state, easy enough, you thought. The first state he showed, was California.
