It was a quiet day. Sunlight poured in from beyond the window, bathing the otherwise dark bedroom in a gentle light. Kakashi propped you up against a pillow and gave you a patient look–over.

Overnight, you had came down with a fever. Kakashi pushed your bangs aside and planted a wet rag upon your warm forehead, his fingers lingering on your skin.

“Feeling okay?” Kakashi pressed, the mattress dipped beneath him. As casual as Kakashi attempted to appear, his brow knitted at your keens and whimpers.
