Jackson moved through the Bayou checking on the reat of his pack. At the moment his eyes had been searching the wooded area for you, the newest member of the pack, a werewolf who had been seeking safety and numbers that he and Haley had welcomed with open arms. He knew not every member of the Crescent wolf pack was pleased about this. He had needed to get on Olivers case on more than one occasion for uncalled for behavior.
"Docks."
Another wolf called out. Jackson glanced at the other werewolf wordlessly before turning to head for the docks where he found you sitting at the waters edge. The tall werewolf alpha takes a seat next to you without a word.
"I heard what happened. You okay?"
His voice was gentle, soothing even. His brown eyes, filled with empathy and serene calm met yours. There was no pity in his voice or facial expression, just silent support.
