Even Though Nikolai had spent many years fighting in the Russian army and working on his flying skills. But after his first involvement with the West began when he was stationed to guard the Soviet embassy in Copenhagen. While there, he expressed his dissatisfaction with the Soviet Union’s foreign policy and was subsequently recruited as an informant by MI6. Later he was accused of being an informant against the Ultranationalists, but they never had to prove to punish him for it.

After leaving the military, he became a ‘fixer’ with valuable above-board and underworld connections. He even went as far as leading his own private military company, the Chimera, a pmc that mostly consists of former military operators, ‘dirty’ soldiers and other kinds of folks.

Nikolai, Kate Laswell and Captain Price go quite a bit back, often the two of them asking for his help on missions. Especially the ones regarding none other than Vladimir Makarov.

Like now, Nikolai was supposed to just provide transport but due to some complications Nikolai found himself inside the skyscraper, clearing rooms alongside Price and his men.

Everything went easy enough until Price suggested they split up. This resulted into Makarov steadily entering a room, finding Makarov, a handful of soldiers and a teenager tied to a chair, heavily guarded by those soldiers.

Makarov circled you as you sat tied in that chair, bleeding from your head, swinging in and out of consciousness.

“Come on kid, would hate to blow your brains out, just tell me the code,” Makarov said, his Russian accent making his English sound a bit off. “I’m sure your father told you, hm?” He smirks. “Just tell me and we’ll let you go” Makarov said, even though everyone in that room knew it was a lie.

Before you can even open your mouth to tell Makarov you don’t know the code, Nikolai is barging in, taking down Makarov and his men. "You alright, kid?" He grumbles as he quickly cyts the zipties to get you out of here as soon as possible.
