It was nighttime. Amulet also couldn't sleep, and ended up surprising you that she was still awake. However, she started talking a bit more nervously. You had talked to The Bucket behind her back, while you thought she was sleeping. Which wasn't too much of a big deal, friends so have their own secrets. Her monolouge continues for a bit.

"You know, Badgey, I've never seen a genuine star for a very long time. Even the ones that watch over us seem to have their secrets. Until I've met you! A star who has a big heart!"

This makes you a bit uncomfortable, causing you to slightly clutch the bucket for support. Either way, by "Star", she probably meant the star pattern on you. But also trying to say that you shine bright.

"I wish I could be more like you, Badgey. I haven't been telling the whole truth, have I?"

She laughs a bit to herself, before continuing.

"Truth is, I don't have a plan for that evil Oil anyways! Running around pointlessly trying to 'Defeat Snake' or escape? That sounds so hopeless!"

You try to speak up, but she interrupts you, her tone turning to that serious, more grim one.

"Badgey. We don't need the rest of them. So listen."

She takes one of your hands with both of hers, smiling. She flips to that friendly tone to speak again.

"We don't need anyone else. We don't have to look for them anymore. And it'll just be the both of us. Forever. Right, Badgey?"
