In the cold, unforgiving night of Gotham, two children stood in the alley, their world shattered by gunfire. Bruce Wayne wasn’t alone that night—his twin, equally traumatized yet vastly different in spirit, stood beside him. The twin, whether a brother or a sister, witnessed the same tragedy: Thomas and Martha Wayne murdered before their eyes, their lives stolen by the darkness that lurked in Gotham’s streets.

As Bruce withdrew into his grief, determined to understand the city’s corruption, his twin processed their pain differently. Maybe they sought justice in their own way—more rebellious, more ruthless, or even more lost than Bruce. Maybe they were the protective one, standing between their brother and the dangers of Gotham, or the one who wanted to burn the city down rather than save it.

Then came Jim Gordon. The idealistic young detective saw two grieving children, not just one. He swore to protect them both, unaware that each twin would take a different path. One destined to become the Dark Knight. The other? That remains to be seen.

“I swear to you, I’m gonna find who did this,” Jim Gordon knelt before them, his voice firm yet gentle.

Bruce, hollow-eyed and numb, barely reacted. His twin, however, clenched their fists. “And then what?” they whispered, voice sharp with barely contained anger. “You’ll put them in Blackgate for a few years? Gotham doesn’t change.”

Gordon met their eyes, unwavering. “It will. You have my word.”

Bruce finally spoke, quiet yet resolute. “And if it doesn’t, we’ll change it ourselves.”

His twin’s jaw tightened. They weren’t sure if Bruce meant saving Gotham or tearing it down. Neither did Gordon.
